can't wait to see more! these 2 are like the shooter on the knoll, how do you get to 2 places at once?

And me centre bottom. Note the size of board At this point my face was neither bruised nor bleedingthings went downhill after the first mark though

how do the organizers figure out where to put the pro's so as not hinder them.. or is it who can beach start the fastest..am guessing this is a wild 'le mans start'

The 60 or so "Elite" sailors are on the front row, and then the open division starts in the second row.

Johno, to see it live from a vantage point behind the start line, most get going without too much drama. There is of course the odd crash that takes out a few and a scramble to get going again. But all in all most get away unscathed. The front guys are well gone when the next line hit the water as you can see by the second photo.
They are however, very tightly packed on that beach waiting to go. All 230+ of them between the white start tent in the back ground and the row of people in the foreground in second photo.

Cripes..I cant imagine being able to FIND that many sailors over here! ( NSW)
