Sick!

While the trickyflicky vulcans and stuff on a waist high wave is all well and good, nothing beats the old masters hacking up a real DTL wave with some power wave riding!
I reckon a wave 360 is still the hardest move to pull off flawlessly and plane out of on the face - but to do it clew first is f'ing phenomenal!

It would seem so, along with the new super secret vented sail...

There's two things that have blown my mind in the 30 odd years I've been sailing. The first was Robert T doing doubles at sylt. The second was the clew first wave 360 I just saw. It's crazy to think mark angulo was blowing the place up when I was a kid and he's still doing it now when I have kids! A tru pioneer of the sport.

Agreed
(so it wasn't me who red thumbed ya!)
But one to add - JP's mega tweaked one handed aerial, the first move in the SPAM movie

Not only the most tweaked aerial I've ever seen, with the bottom batten just about lodged in his hip, but also one handed AND mast high.
Insane.

Yea polakows up there for inspirational value but the thing I like about mark is he keeps pushing it, always taking it to the next level. And directions not many people go. Glad to see him sailing again and doing stuff like that.

Probably blaspemie but I'll have to admit that that was all a little underwhelming. I won't deny the skill it takes- more than I'll ever have- but it looked like it was all in slow motion, waves didn't have any power and well it was all a bit sad and slow.

thats the prob with net stuff.

if you ride the hook and hang there. then you know the deal.

windsurfing promo footage fed via cgi to the masses makes reality truly snuffed.

i reckoned the guys blew up!
