Broke my hybrid boom trying to extract the carbon tailpiece from the ally wishbone.

Clearly it was welded shut by corrosion/reaction between carbon & metal.

Does anyone have any bright ideas on how to break the seal between the 2? I've tried bathtub full of hot water. If I could get it out I could bandage it up and make it a big-sail boom.

I'd suspect salt in additon to corrosion so there will be a heap of ally oxides and salt in there, thus my first guess is vinegar with a long time to soak into the gap (or what was/should be a gap) between the two.
