I have made good progress, I can now sail, tack and beach start (not well but i can still do it). tomorrow i learn to use the harness, plane and maybe gybe. I even upgraded from a 4.5 sail to a 5.7. All i need to do now to get good at it all 
I also have most of my own gear (thanks to evlPanda), all i need now is a board and then im all set.
Good stuff, fantastic to see you getting set up!
(And if you learn to gybe in a day then I'll cry)
well i learnt to beach start in about 5 mins, no joke

Thanks man, good luck on ur lesson tomorrow. You should definitely learn to beach start. it makes it so much easier. I know it sounds stupid that im giving advice but up hauling really sucks.

Good to hear, and I'm with Nebbian on the gybing! Good luck though, confidence is the key.
