Thinking about selling a board and trying to work out its vintage.
Its a JP freestyle wave, is there a way of determining the year from the serial number , or some other mechanism?
Grumps, it is a 2001, they were the years that broke all the time so I'll give u a carton for it.![]()
Serious reply time - looking at reviews on boards.co.uk (or whatever it's new name is) shows all the pics of different years.
The board graphics will be the key.
Look at the JP website, in the "archive" section. http://jp-australia.com/2013/products/archive/
There's a link to the brochure that was issued for each year.
They took away the links to the old web-sites, and just left the specs page for each year. :(
Oops, you are right, Harrow. The "brochure" links seem OK for products back to 2007, but prior to that, they just point to the 2012 brochure.
If its banana yellow its probably 2000 model. Still have one in my board museum under the house. Haven't ridden it for many years but have fond memories of it.

Yep
Banana yellow 2000 - 2004 ish
orangey stripes 2004 - 2008
green and yellow ozzie ozzie oi oi oi - 2008 - 2010
As a rough guess.
I will still give u a carton.
Geez, I'm just so lucky having generous blokes like you around Markie ![]()

I'll have to get it out of its bag and have a closer look to compare with the website, but first glance I think it must be 2009 pro model.
