hi Tas&Lauren,
you could be right, this season may have more westerlies like it should be and normal years are. it feels like it here anyway. keep the images coming so potential lagoon hoons can see how good the island really is. we had the last of the summer ne winds here last sunday and it just seems like its going to be a big westerly winter.

Love the shot with the Wild Winds sail! I threw a couple of them out last year (they were torn & broken battens) Looks like that one still holds good wind...there's a local guy that still sails circa 80's sails here!

I reckon if a wetsuit manufactuer made some 80s style wetsuits they would sell like the proverbial hotcakes. My 80s shorty suit was a bit low key being mainly black but had a fluro blue stripe down each side. It was a Ripcurl.

1980s wetsuits? Try Cash Converters, the Salvos or St Vinnies, you never know what will turn up. Their shops on the Gold Coast, at least, have lots of wetsuits.

However...there may be some wear and tear and/or hygeine issues...

dunno yet ll Pagglio, we have geriatric yoga retreat in ubud in july and darwin conference in august. but it feels like the old days of good winter westerlies coming, although these old bones could be wrong. and well there is no better place to sail westerlies than the lagoon and in particular your fav 'spot x'
Tas is looking fast and adept and fully hooked on the pole dancing getting romantic airs off lovers beach there in those pix.
swmbo would love to go i know that, but who is going to do the work?
when are you going over if so?
planet says he cant make it this year, and here he is when he did, and you when life was slower but faster[on the lagoon].
vid capture from Jack Shicks vid of super sunday, and my helmet cam

With all the Boardshort brands going to the fluros then we may find the wetsuit companies going back for some of the old 80's colours.
Lets hope they don't bring back the Tom Carroll supershort boardies, those are best left in the past

I just saw the Oxley Travel specials available for Lord Howe.

One place gives you a day free car rental! Be sure not to miss out!

Anyone who has been there (at least anyone that can walk) will know, a hire car there is like having an airconditioned bicycle.
