Hey everyone,
sail arrived today and looks excellent, first piece of brand new gear (or even close to brand new) i've ever owned so looking forward to getting it out... only trouble is that a) there are only two out of the three cams actually there and b) the two cams there are for a skinny mast. me not being up to the technology like that i'm still running SDM masts so would also need to get my hands on some suitable cams for that, if it is okay to run 08 KA Koncept on SDM masts???!!!.
so i guess what i'm trying to get at is if anyone has some suitable SDM cams for a 08 KA Koncept that i could take off your hands (happy to pay you something for them) that would be excellent and also if anyone knows a direct number to call KA themselves and try organising something there as it is not on their website.
Last problem is that i'm going away for a windsurfing holiday for two weeks on friday and was really hoping to get them organised before then (express postage) or otherwise i'll have to get my brother to drive two hours there and back to get them to me lol, which i'm sure he would prefer not to do!!!
Any help really appriciated thanks.
Cheers
Hamish
P.S: i am asuming it is okay to run the sail on a standard mast i already have (neilpryde 80% carbon, older type with constant curve) rather than having to buy a new skinny which i would rather not do is possible. but if i have to so be it i guess!!!
Bubs, PM me with you adress and I will post some first thing Friday.
Strange you got RDM cams they are only standard on the 4.4, what size is it?
I will take this boo boo up with the loft.

Bubs , 3 SDM Cams sitting next to my computer. Just need to know how to get them to you at your holiday spot.
I,ll be at Sandy Point tommorrow but can express post first thing Friday.
hey just pulled the cams out the sail and had a closer look..... they wern't skinny cams!!!! (god knows why i thought they were) so sorry about that, BUT i'm still missing one cam (bottom one). so yeah still can't really use it unfortunatley because i don't want to use it half go like that!!!
big thanks mr. love again and i think theres even a couple guys in SA i might be able to catch up so i can borrow one for a bit.
nebbian i've been trying to get in contact with hardie but havn't been able to because i really should get hold of another from KA at some point. so if you see him round get him to give me a cal,. i'll pm him also.
Cheers
Bubs
Bubs, I,ll still post you a couple plus some cam spacers. Always good to have spares. No need to organise one from KA, it's done!!!!
Sorry for the inconvience of having a missing cam in the first place.

It was donated by the winner (someone remind me - they deserve extra recognition)to a young 'un...
& Bubs (Hamish) a very deserving recipient![]()
Keef, I very much doubt you were deliberately sold old cams , I am sure it was an honest mistake. PM me and I will make sure you get sent some roller cams which by the way are the same cam as the non roller just with rollers added.
I have been unaware that sails are turning up without cams, it,s not acceptable and I will certainly sort it out with the Loft.
The sail was kindly donated by the actual winner to Bubs( Hamish) to encourage youth participation in Speed sailing, a fantastic gesture.

An unwanted prize? A new KA sail? Me no savvy.
I was at the presentation at Mandurah when Claude won the KA and was shocked when he donated it to the juniors but his gesture is EXACTLY true to his character.
His actions are inspiring.![]()
Bubs, 2 cams and a bunch of spacers have been express posted, your Mum will have them Monday.
Enjoy your sailing at Goolwa and I expect to see some awesome numbers from you.
I am still recovering from yesterdays Sandy Point outing , man I am unfit at the moment. Great day and the team excelled, check out the times on the Team Challenge site. Especially amazing is Spotties NM. To do an NM at Sandy Point in a Sth Westerly you have to start up the Northern side of the point, battle through the chop in the channel and the big wind shadow from the dunes then emarge on the speed run for the last 800 meters or so. To do a 35 knot NM on a speed board there is stunning. He is a machine !!! I tried one I my speed board but wallowed in the wind shadow and had to pump like crap to keep planning. I think it was a 16 knot run even though I had a 41 peak speed at the end.
