Hi

I would like to send some/ a sails around Oz. Can anyone recommend a decent well priced courier. The major guys in the phone book seem way to expensive (I thought there used to be a link here with some companies) ????????

Cheers all

There isnt many but i got a board sent down with Pack n Send the other day. Bit dear but not much choice unless you have a business account with the majority of them. Really good quick service though.

One of the boys from WSNS suggested air freight australia if sending to major destination - it wasnt an option for me do I cant give you any idea on price.

Simon Transport - I sent a MG14 (dinghy) from Syd to Melb with them all good and a good price.
Also I use Simon Transport to send glass around the country, they have not busted any yet,

I used Smartsend, www.smartsend.com.au to send a formula sail and mast from Sydney to Mackay and they were pretty reasonable. You have to pack it up yourself and there needs to be someone to receive the package. It was like $72 for a 3m x 20cm x 25cm package.

Smartsend is definately the best from my experience - around $45 to send a sail anywhere (unless it's a huge formula thing) - get a free instant quote on their website.
