Anyone keen to sail Makaha tomorrow afternoon? The forecast is ideal.

Brownwater is the best place to launch. However, you generally have to slog around the headland.

Coming back in can be harder than launching, particularly if the wind dies and you can't get upwind of Brownwater. I've had to come in over the rocks at Brownwater once...

The vacant lot a Collary is the other place to launch, but it's a long sail upwind.

There's a beach just inside Makaha where you can rest while sailing. It would be possible to launch from here, but theres a ~500m hike with gear.

It was too light today. Perhaps tomorrow - forecast is still good.

today was a let down.. especially living on a house facing south east at the top of a hill where its always windy
The trip to botany didnt go to plan either, should have dragged out the formula board, an 11 metre sail usually fixes the problem of light wind
Might give Makaha a go tomorrow if the wind is good, if not i'll head to sandy point & play with the yachts
