I have been going back over all the mast bend curve charts but i thought I'd ask for some real world experience.
I'm thinking of getting a 6m Severne Overdrive. I have a 430 Lipstick 55% Sailworks mast and it doesn't work on that. The boom height cam doesn't rotate properly ( mast too stiff there..??)..
I am thinking of getting a 75% Severne blueline mast for the 6m. I was wondering if I got a 400 Severne Blueline and used their 30cm extra mast addition for the 6m would it work as a 400 cm in my Sailworks sails? From what I've read I'm thinking no? They are 4.8m Sailworks Hucker then 4.2m / 3.8m/3.2m Sailworks Revos..
If it did I would have lighter rigs as my 400cm mast is only 30% carbon.
30% carbon is probably ok for those small sails - no need to change, you're set there.
A mast extender is just a lash-up.
For new sails you should just get the right mast/s. If something is worth doing etc....
I tried a North mast extender so my 430 could fit my 7m sail. After one or two runs I came in and de-rigged. They don't work.

Guy Cribb picked my 4.2m + 78ltre board for an on the beach rig practise demo.. he stayed at it for a few mins and then said 'this is too heavy " and went off and picked a lighter one..
