Do people still windsurf on Merimbula Lake? When I was a kid, it used to be packed all Summer, but the last couple of times I've been there it was empty on good days. Has anything changed?
Not too many sailboarders down this way anymore. Still a few good sailors there but not many.
Most sail the bar across to Ford Oval (S/SE). You can sail inside the inlet in SE and its real smooth but very short runs.
If after some flatter water than the bar either long blasts on Wallagoot Lake (North of MBA) in NE or S/SE or down to Boydtown at the back of Twofold bay in Eden. Theres a bit of shorebreak at the Northern end but rig up at the Seahorse Inn at Boydtown - nice and grassy then a drink on the verandah at the end of the session. Theres a few of us local blokes sail there when its NE or Aslings Beach in Eden in a S or SE.
