So if the wind is up on Sunday what excuse are we going to use to go sailing

Me mongrels are just old enough that I made the mistake last year of going sailing.
Had told the missus that I wanted to give them some mother-kids quality time.

Not smart... I suppose at the time my windsurfing hormones saw the wind and staged a coup-d'etat on my brain...

Personally I think Mothers Day is just a bit of a con to sell stuff. If you love your mum then every day is Mothers Day.

somewhere along the way the day was cleverly transformed from mother's day to wothers day.

wife and mothers day.
