Hey i picked up a board from a generous sailor off seabreese. my intention was to retore it back to original as i am good mates with the Andy who used to build them and thought he may get a kick out of seeing one of his old boards still in prime condition.
BUT when i got it home i got a few ideas as i looked at the board, this is how it turned out after i decide to shorten the nose but about 17 cm and some fresh paint, Andy should aprove as i used yellow on it..
just need some pads and the non skid and it's ready for a sail..
Awesome PC.
What type of paint is that? Did you do the bottom too?
and tell us how you will apply the non skid? (resin and castor sugar or some other way)
Awesome! It's be a shame to cover it with non-skid, not to mention deck pads... maybe it could be a "booties only" board? ![]()
Nice, nice very nice...
Whats the bottom looks like?
But why do I get Monster truck feelings then I look at that paint job?... hehe
it will be getting no skid soon, no caster sugar, going to used same as production boards, need to be sprayed through a gun, the bottom is straight white so when i leave it on the beach up side down it don't get to hot.
No skid will be almost see through so design don't get too lost.. and allowed for pads with the design, have to think ahead with these things..![]()
looks great p.c did you use an air brush , ive been looking at those on ebay, you can get a gun and brush for about $30
hm... I build a board back in the mid 90s which I thought would look super hot if the deck was painted black. And yeah, super hot it was... I was barely able to stand on the thing even while it was in the water... I hope you are having better luck with your design... ![]()
Now I know what you airbrush!Brilliant..can you do my old caveman too..![]()
I think it needs more than that.Has Andy seen it?Looks like it could have been pretty similar to mine. What year was it?
Not sure what year that was..mine probably is nothing like it but here is a pic..
Its probably a bit distorted from the angle of the photo..
