Cycled 200km today.

Thinking of selling all my gear, as cycling conditions are so often much better than sailing conditions down here.
I could buy a nice triathlon bike with that money.

Yeah I like to go for a nice fast ride on ma bike every now and then.
Not 200km. Probably 20 or 30 is enough. But really fast.
I'm getting quite a strong grip from twisting the throttle up and down.

I just sit in front of my iPad with Seabreeze loaded and press the refresh button every five seconds, it keeps me busy.

Playing ice hockey. Leagues are at night and have nothing to do with windsurfing.

But all the hitting and getting hit sure makes no wind days easier to take...

I would enjoy ice hockey. I played field hockey as a lad and at Uni. I've tried to get back into it here but the games are in the middle of the day and my contract work takes me away too much. I might look into the ice hockey.

You could always watch windsurfing videos, as well as all the instructional stuff loaded up to UTube

I think my point is that I have at least 666 other things to do when there is no wind. Not really struggling for inspiration here. Like yourself, I enjoy playing a bit of banjo, but my current obsession is endurance training.
I think I'm a bit over the tyranny of windsurfing.

Sup for an early surf, SUP on flat water for fitness, fun and relaxation or just social SUP then go windsurfing in the arvo when the wind comes up.

Hate to say it but me too. All I see is a summer of 10 knots.
I've been working from home Fridays just in case I can have a two hour sail over lunch. I've had one in 7 months.

Last season sucked, winter was pathetic.

I reckon I've had 20 hours on the water all year.

Back to drinking and womanising for me.

Been here, done that, got bored.
It's OK, but a bit slow for me.
I don't see the wind getting up much this year down here on the GC.
SE pattern seems pretty entrenched, and that's OK from the Broadwater north, but it blows chunks down here. Can't really be bothered with the drive to SW every time I want to sail.
Not whinging, just how things are.
