Seem to be a lot of talk about Jonas retirement
personally i think its sad because i have admiration for guys that can sail at that level. Its a shame our sport isn't more like tennis where the top 100 make a great living.
One theory is that alot of the negatives that are said about Jonas come from people in the real world and their jealousy that they never got to live the dream. Perhaps.
I did an interview a while back with Ty Bodycoat (driving around in a V8 ute naturally)- here is what he had to say about life after the tour - if you like wavesailing you will see some pretty awesome turns in here.http://exposureroom.com/f29f33e058e041f28b4d2d36ca9db478/
Sweet video, having fun is what it's all about ![]()
As an aside, is 'the exposure room' on some sort of low bandwidth server setup? Either that or my isp's routing to that site is up the wahzoo because i'll be stuffed if I can't watch one of your epic videos without it buffering like a mofo. (note i'm on ADLS2 that syncs at 19MB which totally annihilates youtube/vimeo etc).
it may be a bit slow on their end i suspect
i usually press start- then immediately pause the movie - continue working on something else / reply to emails
and come back when the bar is loaded - it usually doesnt take long
Exposureroom does do higher quality video than youtube and vimeo (which is why i like it)- this may be what is taking the time
Awesome clip thanks, good to see someone else still has a HPL boom. ![]()
Clip was all good for me on Amnet no pauses start to finish on high.
Maybe it got cached.
Think he uses the same boom that he got when he first went on tour.. Ty is defo proof that there is 'mad fun' beyond the PWA.. He could start a mentoring role for the other fallen stars that won't or can't sell themselves out to Powerbalance
