Appalling 10 knots at Putty Beach, Central Coast Saturday.

Trying to teach a friend windsurfing in small swell is fun....not..hhaahha

Are you sure that was 10 knots? Looks like about 6 to me, if that...

Photos were taken at a particularly low point i guess...it picked up to 15 later

Looks like a good place to sail. Can you tell us where Putty Beach is? Looks like its on Broken Bay opposite Pittwater.

Mobydisc,

It's not really in broken bay but just on the outside facing SSE. Putty Beach is the northern end of Killcare Beach and you can get there via the National Park campground. I've been there but never tried to sail there. Looks like it would work from SSW to SE. Let me know if you need a sailing buddy as I live nearby.

Yeah, it would be good with a direct easterly

Good place to learn how to cope with small swell...we launched from the far north of the beach
