Hi there. I've got a question re Q-cell. I ordered some a while ago and was delivered some white powder.( now not that kind of powder, there's definitely to much of it to have gotten mixed up
)
No I believe you just mix it with the epoxy resin, but to what consistency and how do you apply it?

mix it till its thick, you can make it as pasty or runny as you want. i think last time i just smashed it on with an old spatula,... your milage may vary, depends on what you are trying to do.
also don't breath it in, wearing a mask is a very good idea.
You can mix it thin if it needs to run into a narrow crack or mix it thick if you need to fill a big hole.
If you mix it really thick it doesn't stick all that well to the surrounding material so you keep a bit of thin stuff aside to paint the edges of the area to be filled before you pack in the thick stuff.
Even if you mix it to the consistency of bread dough, once it sets it's quite hard and light. The runnier it is then the heavier it is.
It also affects the set time so you might need more catalyst of you make it thick.
{edit} oops, just re read the original and you're using epoxy resin so no catalyst.
Do a few small practice mixes first to get the hang of it. It's cheap enough.

I want to use it to smooth out repairs I made in cloth so I take it a bit on the thicker side would be better weight wise and still do the job. Like builders bog consistency.
And my epoxy has a hardener. Do I have to use more hardener than normal(1:1) I believe?
And last question. I also ordered two different weight cloth for repairs and making a nose protector. Again it cam unlabelled. Is the coarser cloth the heavier/stronger one, or is it the other way around? Which one should go on top if I have multiple layers?
