With a heavy heart I bring the sad news that Willi Beaven, one of WA's pioneering windsurfers & founder of Sail-Logic sail loft in Lancelin, passed away last night, finally succumbing to leukemia.
One of the most humorous & happy guys I've known.
We'll miss you.
Too right Jez. Willie was a really enthusiastic fellow who was always ready to have a chat about sailing and sails. I remember visiting Sail logic regularly in the late 80s and early 90s when he was bsaed ontop of the Neil Pryde warehouse in Nth Freo. I had no idea he was unwell. RIP indeed
