I'm sailing 70l & 80l Evos at the moment, but am keen to get a twinnie or quad. Don't really know too much about who's making the best ones at the moment. I like the Starboard Quad, not sure how they go, from what I've read the first SB twins & Quads weren't that good? Any recommendations would be appreciated!
I have never liked any multi fins but LOVED my ride on a Nude Chopper
Good luck finding one if you are thinking secondhand but I strongly recommend you ride one
I'm riding a 75l Quatro LS - I've been using it in quad and twin mode and I think for lightweights (I'm 70kgs) twin mode is the way to go. I demo-ed a few other boards and the Quatro was my favourite.
You're right about the Evil twin - they were a dog! That model turned me off Starboards
I had a bit of a ride of a SB quad a while back and it felt pretty good. I'm not a huge fan of quads, but for me it was the best I had been on (have also tried JP and Fanatic).
I have ordered a Nude chopper twin. As Mark said I would suggest you have a ride on one of these. I rode one for a few days in November and was hooked, ordered a couple of weeks later. Be prepaired though, there is a bit of a wait, but that is what happens with a custom that is as good as these boards.
