Busted a locking pin on my boom and have ordered some replacements. Just wondering what is the easiest way to remove the old pins/brackets? I had a go at brute strength and they didn't budge...

sorry - some better definitions. The boom length adjust locking pins on a KA Carbon Slalom boom. Twin locking pins into the boom tail..

there a lip on each side that keeps the bracket on.
just need to spread each side of the bracket over the lip.
flat bladed screw driver should help.
tip with those things is to wash them and spray with rp7 or something regularly.
since doing this Ive never broken one.

stick the ends in a pot of really hot water for a few minutes. The plastic cup will expand more than the alloy or carbon boom arm making it easier to remove, then do what Vando said.
