Some clown has no life and too much time on there hands and wrote yet another virus to crash sites, think it got a few on the way..
The Severne site worked fine for me, no problems, but looks like others ain't so lucky..
I wrote a little piece about this here: www.seabreeze.com.au/forums/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=53272
In essence this seems to be a malware attack probably on the .htaccess file in the web server. It gets there usually via an infected software on the developers machine... eg a pirated ftp client or similar.
The problem with this is that you will only see the malware warning if you are using Apple Safari or if you have some internet malware protection package installed on your computer.
Generally these malware attacks try and exploit security flaws in IE to for example install a bot as part of boot net. These things are usually not designed to harm your computer but instead to piggy back on your computers internet connection.
That link to auswind now works for me, must have just been yesterday for a short time.
Now sorry to hijack the thread but the Auswind banner on this site is a bit misleading.
First it says "2009 Starboard wave boards"
Then it flashes "New boards from $499"
Guess what, there is one board for $499, a 2004 Acid.
But then you look and all boards, bar ONE, are $1500 - $1800 ish.
If they said only "new boards from $499" you'd think it was obviously old stock. But they deliberately say "2009 Starboards" first.
If you have developed a rapport with one shop / brand there is not too many times you can't get a board from last season, brand new, for $1500-$1800.
Big deal dudes.
Obviously I did not "fall for" anything, but I think that is pretty despicable false advertising especially for a WA company, on a WA based website, in a small windsports community.
hm... didn't notice... I actually don't think I have ever clicked on one of those banners or taken much notice except for the one by the NSW Maritime Department.
Just so there is no confusion our new banner is now up without "2009", sorry if it wasn't clear.
What we meant to say with minimal words was:-
1. 2009 Wave Boards and Wave Sails are now on special.
2. We have a heap of new superseded wave boards some (not 2009 models) on special from $499.
3. We have a heap of new superseded wave sails some (not 2009 models) on special from $245.
Thanks,
Ian

My feelings exactly..![]()
We changed the banner so it doesn't mention 2009.
We never want to mislead any one, which is why we changed our banner last week.
It is difficult to get an accurate message across with minimal words.
What is misleading now?
Thanks,
Ian
