I saw an interesting movie on the plight of the shark.

Well worth a look for all aquatic dwellers...

When I see that footage of the bastards hacking their fins off and tossing them back into the water it makes me sick in the guts.

Me too. I would not fear any remorse to these fin-cutting fisherman if the navy blew them off the face of the planet. Would be good practice with their big guns. It makes me more angry and upset than pretty much anything else.
Greenpeace should not bother about the few whales people kill each year. But the 100million+ sharks being killed.
I think its weird. Almost every person who has grown up in the ocean has a massive respect and interest and slight fear of sharks. I don't think there is a more perfectly adapted animal.
Its the people that don't understand, and have never swum with a shark that seem to think they are awful killing things.
Sounds like a good movie. Why is Rob Stewart familiar to me?

So when they start shooting Aussie fishermen you won't change your thinking?
Unfortunately it's happening here as well.

I didn't say anything about nationaltily. I don't care where they come from. If they are finning sharks, they belong at the bottom of the ocean.

I thought the point about the carbon balance was worrying and very relevant
