Has anybody had experience with making a warranty claim with Starboard? I purchased a new Futura board 2 weeks ago, after the first sail I noticed it leaked water from one of recessed fin screw areas for 3 days. I placed the board in the sun for 10 minutes today and put soapy water on the area and it bubbled like crazy! Not happy!
Na,,,its way smarter to whinge on here than to contact the retailer, who would replace/repair no questions asked.![]()

I dont get why people take the time to complain on here,,,when the retailer is the one to talk to???
Unless the person is trying to bag out a certain brand??
lots of subtel pimping on this site,,big time.![]()
the stb here is awful so I can bypassed the dealer and complained to their website complete with pics and testimonies..four months have gone by not even a reply![]()
Thanks for the feedback JP 747. Just for the record, i wasn't complaining or having a whinge, did I bag Starboard NO, did I bag the retailer NO, I thought the board was awesome and I am happy to keep riding them, I understand these type of things happen. As written in the first post, all I wanted to know was if anyone has had warranty dealings with Starboard and what they experienced.
Elburto, I wondered why you posted here as if all major brands are made at one factory, any of them could have the footstrap insert drilled too deep and leak.
I would have thought you'd make a warranty claim and IF they refused to do anything then you'd aks if anyone has issues with Starboard warranty......otherwise it does read like you are hinting at brand criticism
I've had warranty on an isonic. Auswind sorted it out no problem. Best to go through the dealer first then they'll refer it.
