Finally we have a forecast that looks like it should hold up and give us enough wind to run it!

The idea is 'borrowed' from the Red Bull storm chase in Europe and we have been waiting 1yr now to get really gnarly conditions on a weekend!!
So yeah its on standby for tommorow with a solid forecast!

Bad Luck Fletch and Pete after all this waiting and you guys are going to Tassie!!

Easty,

Where you going to be sailing tomorrow. I'm going to a reef at the South End of Friendly Beaches. Only works very occasionally but with a 2m NE swell and 35knots SW (clean cross off) it should be on. Come on down if you get the chance.

Wow, you better get on that reef, FletchHuz, sound perfect for it. I'll be earning brownie points in the morning dealing with kiddies while the turkey is stuffed and cooked, and then I'll hit somewhere on South Arm down here.

So who got out yesterday, and is there any video? 35kts with 45kt gusts is now my PB. I think I'll have to get something smaller than a 3.7 for next time.

Perhaps I should clarify- that's windstrength, not the speed I was doing.

Yep we got to run the comp! Unfortunatly it was very onshore so made it hard to stay in such a small area to try to get some footage.. but it was mega windy! As soon as you get upside down your gear gets ripped out of your hands!
Sure enough about an hour after the comp it swung SW and was cross shore and perfect for jumping!! Oh well thats comps!
The footage will be up soon I think.. I havent seen any of it yet but there was some big moves out there considering how frikin windy it was!! it was hardcore just trying to gybe!!

Haha yeah thats Tothys new trick, just after that shot, he grabs the uphaul with his toes and pulles him self back onto his rig! Great to watch!
