Just wanted to thank a bloke who lent me a weed fin up at Canton Beach yesterday. We took a day trip up there and as I had never sailed there before thought I would be OK with normal slalom fins.
WRONG. Never seen so many weedies. I would get planing then after 20 meters had to stop, get off and clear the Xmas tree I was dragging under my board.
Put the weedie in and hey presto. Turned what was going to be a **** day into a top fun one. Although this was after I went over the handle bars and smashed the nose of my board.

Good spot too, nice rigging area and pretty shallow water for yonks. Long runs too.
