I'm trying to find someone who still sells these straps or know of the manufacturer here in Oz. I love these straps and have had them since the early '80s, I need another pair. The common cam-lock types you see everywhere have nothing on these. So if you know anyone who's got them please give me an hoy. Ta
I still have mine from the eighties, I believe they were a Mont Blanc (as in roof racks) product.
Might have to auction mine off since they're such an in demand item...any bids..
I've moved on to the heavy duty clip types. So if you really really want them, you can have my old ones...ones a bit shorter, got caught in the whell of a trailer.
Bugger, I had 400 pair of these things back in the late 80's, early 90's. They were all pink and the pair I had lasted over 20 years. Only chucked them when the rusted solid.
Sold the lot with the business, wish I had of kept them after reading this stuff.

I have about 10 of them here the exact ones you have in the photo... I use them for tying down kayaks and windsurf boards... They are sweet... I will see if there are some i can spare to get rid of... You might be that lucky... hahaha
But yes they are good...
The straps I bought when I got back into windsurfing again are great. They are the anti-theft straps with some metal cabling in the strap. The best thing about them is on windy days they don't get blown around like normal straps do.
