I just got a brand new board from a manufacturer, that I'm supposed to demo in a comp - long story. (Flying the Aussie flag in the US...)
Problem is: there is a slight damage, it was apparently bumped on the ground and there are about 5 very small cracks radiating from a center point. Total surface: a square inch.
Question is: I have to use the board in about a day. What is a quick fix (not pretty, quick) so that it won't take water for a 2-hour usage?
I wanna do the right thing by my benefactor and not damage it further. Ironic when you consider I intend to beat the absolute crap out of it otherwise. 
Tape won't do me reckon. Neither would a glue gun, what else?? Crazy glue? Outdoors sealant or silicone?

Sounds like you are in the US now, so maybe you can't buy this stuff there, but Selley's Knead It Aqua can be applied underwater even and will set in minutes. Can be sanded or filed easily to a smooth finish. It isn't pretty but it is quick - if you can get it. Otherwise, some Araldite glue in the cracked area might seal it?
nail polish or super glue applied in multiple coats
or a solarcure epoxy available at surf shops
If it was deep enough to let water in you'd know it. The depressed area would be more than 1" x 1" !!!!!
This sounds like just paint and gelcoat cracking, nowhere near thru glass and divinycell (and the glass under that). Therefore I am 99% sure no water can get in at all even if you sail it as is.
Good quality cloth reinforced duct tape which is well pressed down around the edges will do it just fine for a few hrs on the water if there is a small hole. You can stick a screwdriver thru the board and tape it and sail for a few hours.... so taping over cracks that are 0.1mm deep should be OK.
the tiniest bit of epoxy and some clear vinyl sheet (like the stuff they substitue for windows on canvas awnings, get it from a big fabric store)
dab the glue on, place the vinyl over it and start rubbing, pressing, flattening etc to work the epoxy into the gaps with the thinnest possible layer of glue tapering out to nothing.
once your certain it is dry, peel off the plastic at the surface of the glue will be perfectly smooth, really thin and almost invisible with no need to sand.
make sure you get all the air bubbles out.

i agree with mark .. if its only cracking in a one ince square i dont think it would soak up water but .........u should just mix up a tiny bit of epoxy resin and use a tissue to rub the resin into the cracks ... that would be a permanent fix then .... mabey rub it over with 1500 grit paper after it goes off
Pierre, just use some silicon for a quick fix which is easy to remove for a proper fix later on.
If you couldnt be stuffed fixing the ding, just leave it. Works great.
Guys, as a post-mortem, I went with the silicon thing (indoors version, paintable white latex). Worked great - 2 good outings and all is good, until I get proper repair. The demo was canned anyways - rain and no wind.
(I never had silicon before - bad joke)
