I am thinking of buying a Mazda 6 Wagon. Do you think my 109L JP Freestyle can fit inside? The board length is 240 cm.

remember when i bought my latest vanette... i turned up at the showroom with masts n 2 boards to make sure they fit.....no1 priority.
imagine my joy when i found out the front passenger seat folded away on it's self, to be completety flush with the rear space...

I fit my 126 S-Type (244cm) and a Bic Techno 98 (262 cm) in my Mazda 6 wagon.
If you need a passenger, they'd have to sit behind you in the 60-40 split rear seat. Still plenty of room for 2 boards, 2 sails, 2 booms & a bucket of stuff.
They're a great windsurfing car - easy around the city too.

I went to a couple of dealers today. Got a bit confused. It's my first time buying a car in Australia. The salesman said he can give me the best offer only when I am ready to make a deposit. What does that mean?
Listed price is 35,490 + 3,075 on-road cost, 38,565 in total. How much should I aim for?

If you are buying brand new, then the salesman usually has about 3,500 to 4,000 in his kick.
That is, list price minus your trade in, he then has say 3500 to bargain with.
Of course, they wont tell you that because the more of that you eat up, the less commission they get 
mind you, where they make the real money is when they start selling you paint protection, window tinting, rust protection etc. etc.
And finance ... they make a ****load out of selling you finance.

Crikey Mate ! with that sort of dough you could nearly afford a Tdi Transporter or the new long wheelbase Caddy. No passenger probs then and you can set them up how you want . I made my rack out of PVC piping like they do in Maui and I have all my gear on me all the time, two boards three sails booms,masts everything including my 10' SUP and a bed on top cost me less than 100 $ , and she does 750 km to the tank even better on the open road . GOLD !
Go and buy a Dodge Nitro SXT, great wagon and the front seat also folds away on it's self also.
They're pretty pricey new, so I bought mine 2nd hand for $20K. 3 years old, immaculate condition but with 80,000kms + 1 year warranty from a dealer.
It came with rola cross bars, so when the wife and I head down the coast, I put the board/s on the roof, but all the other gear still fits in the car. 2 piece mast extends between the front seats almost to the gear shifter. Wagons only come in auto, so once you're in 'D' there's no need to access the shifter anyway. It's just a little tricky if you want to flick it into manual for the south coast bends
Its been a while since I have bought a new car but this is the general way you go about it. Work out what car you want to buy. Start going around to dealers and asking them how much it will cost on the road. If you want certain options let them know. If the dealer starts crapping on about this and that, tell them all you want is the price because you want to buy a car.
The other way to do it is to contact a car broker. Many car brokers are affiliated with emloyers or unions so perhaps ask around your workplace. If you are self employed there are brokers who will help you. They will charge a fee for their services but they will probably get the best price for you.
Also go to carsales.com . Its good for at least a bit of research.

Well mine is the 2007 short wheel base model I bought it as a demo model and paid just under $37000
It had 250 km on the clock so wasn't even run in yet , Its the 2.5 lt five cylinder 128kw job and its an 80 litre tank.
In my commodore I put three boards on their side, in the middle of the cargo bay, and the noses sit between the front two seats. If your console isn't too big and the seats fold down flat, then this could be an option.
