I just watched the "biggest wave ever" video on Yahoo. After watching that I reckon that you wave sailors who only go out in double mast high swell are pussies. Go and surf a real wave!!!! Crikies I crap myself in 6 inch chop on the lake.
I remember watching "Stepping into Liquid" at Yeppoon Cinema, during the opeing sequence the Audience let out a gasp as the camera pulls back from a surfer the reveal the size of the wave he was riding.
This was shortly followed by an even bigger double gasp as the camera pulls back further and reveals a wavesailor on the same wave deeper in the pit 
I found the windsurfer footage from "Stepping into Liquid" on youtube, the scene is different to how I remember it....funny how time does that to memories

Looked to me like he had no wind in the bowl, went to deep and would have eaten it weather the the surfer was there or not
