I'm after a weed fin but don't know what size to get. I'm 96kg (today), to be used on a 259cm x 70cm x 135L board and main sail is a 7.5 for up to 20knots on mainly flat water. Guessing 38cm or 36cm? Suggestions?

Use weed fins constantly over this side. You will need at least a 40-42 but be careful on the brand you get. Some are just straight out duds as a few have found out
. JP's in G10 work OK. Check with Sam at surf wind and snow , he should be able to look after you.You can get away with a 36 but not much drive upwind and tend to loose ground a lot when the breeze is soft.

I don't want to be rude, but what you are asking is like, is my 5.2 require a 430 or a 400cm mast. Well depend of the shape, brand etc. So, yes, you are right in the range of if but better look with the fin company you want to purchase.
If you take a look at my friend's company proposition, for that specs, you are looking for a 38cm hahalua fin, so yes 38cm seems in the range. However, with other compagny, maybe longer? cheers mate.
Thanks guys, looked at Makanifins in the 38 weedy. Geez easy chart to use. Now going to look at the JP ones. What ever happened to the Choco, they seemed to be the most talked about a couple of years ago.
