Sailworks would like to congratulate Mick Westra for taking out this years Wave Sailing Nationals in Tasmania. we don't know many of the details due to dodgy mobile reception, We do know the conditions in Tas would have suited Micks agressive wave sailing style.. well done mate cant wait to see some photo's and footage...

Thanks guys, the conditions were pretty tough on the final day. 40+ knots and over head high waves. I had a ball though and glad to get a win finally.

Marrawah is an awesome spot, 1st day no wind but 6-8ft surf, light onshores. 2nd day - 20 knots head high crosshore. 3rd day 20 knots cross onish, up to mast high, 4th day 40 knots from the opposite direction, over head high which was sick starboard tack though a little too offshore to compete, 5th day filth surfing, offshore and over head lefts and rights (some people sailed in the 15knots too). Last day was the best though.

Thanks to the organisers and a big thanks to this years sailworks sails. Powerful and strong as!, did the trick for me.

Well done George, congrats! Your win is overdue.... you have been threatening for a while. Nice to see some conditions where you could strut your stuff and wind didn't die in the final. Onya mate
