I have always been Powerex RDMs since 01. But now production has stopped. Who has a good insight to masts and knows where they are made. I know a few years back, most sail brand's masts came from other manufacturers, like Powerex or No limitz or someone and rebranded. Anyone, looked into this and knows what's out there, and who makes them, and RRPs ?

I am not after just pimping of brands, but a bit of info as to who is making them for whom, and where they come from.

I think the closest you'll get will be Ezzy -- they're a direct replacement and you can swap between them, same ferrule size and the ferrule is on the top like your old powerexes. Same bend curve as well.

I mix and match with a powerex top and ezzy bottom for one of my sails, works well.

No idea who's actually making them though.

Ezzy and Powerex were made by No Limitz years ago but then Powerex went to being made by that Italian mob that makes almost everybody's masts. Name eludes me right now......
Ezzy has always been No Limitz

I second the Ezzy. Strongest one out there and same curve as your Powerex

Loft RDMS come from Triana in Italy (a leading producer) - last I checked
Actual proper constant curve, seem great quality to me, kevlar wrapping on middle, and cheapest 100% RDM ive seen here

I thought Powerex made ezzys back in the day???? And no limitz were the other manufacturer that made their own, plus a bunch for others as well?? Yep, I can't think of the itallion outfit either. I think at least a few rebadged masts have had a few manufacturer suppliers over the year.
Also, I thought Powerex made HPL Booms. Whats happened to these guys ?

Triana - thats what I was thinking of. I thought back in the day, there were Powerex, Triana, and another outfit (no limitz ???) making masts for all the sail companies.

Actually Nathan I think you are right - Powerex made Ezzy for a while but they've been No Limitz for ages. Triana is the mob I was thinking of.

HPL booms had major front end issues a few years back so I think the name was tarnished ......

And also to throw up another confusion, was it HPL or chinook or someone that went from made in USA to made in china, and had a bit of a dodgy transition period ??

So are No Limitz now making Ezzy masts + their own + any others ??

I heard the new Tushies were the ducks nuts?

What is Scott McKercher using now? Wasn't he sponsored by Powerex?

I used a powerx base with a ezzy top for a 415 mast for years, worked great.
