Well from my best deductions, we are coming into winter now. So it must be snow.

Snow is one possible answer but due to global warming I doubt it.

Another answer is the white stuff is foam caused by pollution and effluent flowing into our waterways, creating a white effect which coats all water it encounters.

What you are witnessing is not the beginning of the end as life as we know it, but the end of the beginning. Good luck.

It's such a distant memory that I had to resort to the internet to find out.

First I tried encyclopedia.com

and eventually worked my way through to wikipedia.com.

What I finally worked out is that the "white stuff" is actually whitecaps, caused by WIND ruffling the surface of the water.

Trouble is WIND is a VERY VERY distant memory here in WA.

how to improve your outlook.......

buy polarizing glasses!!!!!!!

i got a pair polarizing sunnies from another windsurf forum gotta say i am well impressed. they were cheap and make everything look so much better.

the other day i went to the beach, rigged a 5.3 cause of all the whitecaps. then took the sunnies off to go sailing and realized i should've rigged the 6.4

The other day I thought I should have rigged a 7.2. I saw some branches in a bush moving. I really should have stayed in bed because it was a couple of birds doing the wild thing.

They love to do the wild thing

Wind

Yeah, I had to look that up at dictionary.com.
the explanation didn't make sense to me, something about air particles moving in a common direction.
I haven't felt that before, except when sticking my head out of the window as I drive along (with my tongue lolling out the side of my mouth). now that is a pretty sight

Meanwhile it has been windy out here (Northern Tablelands) last few days, but only have 7.5m with a 1m hole in it
