Not really a fan of Iron Maiden - but I went to see their live concert earlier this year - they went off - Acer Arena Capacity Crowd everybody, and I mean the whole arena not just the front area, on their feet fore the whole act - haven't seen that in a looong time.

"The Number of the Beast"

And some Iron Maiden trivia, the original lead singer, black hair, don't know his name, being an Aussie, now works at our local motorbike store here in newcastle.. my mate who was in a well know punk band asked him to sing on there album, he declined as he said "I no longer sings.." sad but true...

Edit: never a fan either, though a fair few friends were. However I liked Number of the Beast and Run to the hills as songs.

Being the ex-lead singer must suck...kind of like the original drummer they fired from the Beatles...the band went on without him to make trillions, sell millions of records, and do huge tours, with all the side benefits of the rock star life...that would be hard to live with.

Hope he gets royalties from the 1st two albums at least...

Paul Dianno was the 1st.
Was shown the door after Killers.
I still prefer Bruce though.
Piece of Mind is a great album.
All their albums are excellent with the exception of No Prayer for the Dying i think.
Only a few good ones on there.
Their concert was awesome but would have been better at Subi.
I was just thankful they came here. Piddly 8000 crowd instead of the usual 50k ones.
