What do you think makes for a sweet ride?

I find myself always going back to my old fanatic 95 freewave......it is sweeet. Is it about design, double concave...vee...rocker.... or is it about the width or volume, maybe even construction, carbon Vs wood or even light Vs heavy.

I have a real variety of boards from different brands and just always find myself back on my 95, glides through chop and flys throught the air with absolute ease. I've got a board that's a little less in volume but wider and feels like I'm riding on corrugated iron all the time....is It about the width, volume or constructin....is one stiffer then the other?

......Is it all in my mind? Is it like loosing you virginity......you all ways remember the first?

This is the board I first carve gybed, jumped(big) and caught a wave on....Is this board just that good or do I just have very fond memories of a purple patch that I don't want to forget?

.......The debate is open.

definitely not in your mind J. There is a direct correlation between width, volume and distribution through the board. The other thing thing that people don't think about is its not just about the board, its about the rider as well. A certain height, weight and yes volume distribution of the rider. Every design is a compromise, once in a while though a perfect storm comes together. That little freeware of yours has been around for a long time. I say enjoy the board.
