E/SE breezes have been pretty strong and regular on south coast of WA, check out observations for Cape Leeuwin at:
www.bom.gov.au/products/IDW60801/IDW60801.94601.shtml(not a great sailing spot but just to give you an example!)
Also see wind averages so far this month at:
www.bom.gov.au/climate/dwo/IDCJDW6021.latest.shtml50km/h = 27 knots, 40km/h = 21.5 knots
These figures are for average wind speeds, gusts are approx 30% stronger
Have recently sailed Windy Harbour further to the east, very similar wind averages to Cape Leeuwin.
Suggest you keep the beer, I'll take the money!!!
