Looks like a windy afternoon for the second in the in the twilight series, unfortunately we can't organise 3 World Champions as we did last week but it will be a good afternoon for some racing.

See you there rigged at 5.20 for briefing.

For those that can't get away early still head down and join in for the remaining heats.

*** BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!!!!!! ***

THE WINDFORCE

Pelican Point Summer Twilight Series

Briefing 5.20 Start 5.30pm

Windforce are organizing a Wednesday night Twilight Series again this Summer.

Why should the Yachties have all the fun?

• This is just for fun and is designed to attract sailors that want a bit of fun not for the ultra competitive.

• We will get on the water whatever the wind conditions and
try to get as many heats in as possible.
o Windy = slalom/freeride gear.
o Light = big boards.
o Super Light = Stick your rig on a SUP (Stand Up Paddle board provided)
o No Wind = SUP Race (board and paddle provided)

We will have a start sequence and a designated course to sail as per a normal race, so you can get the feel of how racing works. There will be a number of the top sailors on the water, so you can pick up a few tips. We will have a score board to record your finishing position each heat and tally the final results. The Twilight Series is great training for the real thing.

Ever tried using a GPS to record your highest speed? Windsurfing WA has six GPS units that are available to borrow, so you can see how your speed compares with other sailors. We will keep the results and see how you improve during the season

In the same way that yacht clubs attract experienced and inexperienced sailors all just wanting to have some fun we are going to do the same. Bring down some mates or come down by yourself everyone is welcome!!!

SMALL PRINT
This is not an organised race… it is a social get together that is all about being safe and having fun. Every sailor is responsible for their own safety and should only sail within their capabilities. Be aware at all times of other water users, it is YOUR responsibility to be safe on the water. By suggesting this get together we are in no way taking any responsibility for your or others safety.

What a great turn out 28 and some good condititions.

It's already a good forecast for next Wednesday.

I will try and be a bit quicker with getting results out this week.

Leg was fine until about 4am when the injections wore off. Not so much fun now. I'll live. I think (hope) the doc got all the carbon out. I wasnt brave enough to look. Only 10 stitches so just a scratch.
