The world of crime is full of professional tricks and creative ways for escaping the authorities. We've already seen several forms of passing drugs through international borders, but this one will certainly debut in the pages of the crime handbook.

The Portuguese and Spanish authorities have announced that 6.5 kilograms of cocaine were found inside a windsurf mast, during a special operation in the Porto International Airport.

More than 65.000 drug doses were hidden inside the gear carried from Porto Alegre, in Brazil, to Porto, in Portugal.

The 32-year-old man reported the lost luggage and later asked if the airline company could deliver the mast in a Spanish hotel, located in Vigo.

The Portuguese and Spanish intelligence set up a trap to capture the drug dealer. The windsurf mast was later broken to reveal the forbidden cocaine.

silly bugger, should have gone for a standard diameter mast...... can fit more in and cheaper to replace when customs crack it open ..

Geez the guy who broke the mast with his bare hands must be superman - or otherwise he snorted some of that stuff before.

It looks like a stick of Knead-it too.

Nah just put two booms on it

They were probably the ones who started some of the stuck mast threads on seabreeze

It shows again the importance of taping up the joint to prevent that white stuff getting in.

I think you are right... looks like an alu boom. That's why mine are empty... I only have carbon booms... is that why carbon booms are lighter?
