Anyone seen the movie and would like to comment?
Based on the lack of discussion one would not be blamed for assuming it is not as good as the first?
personally i think it is better but some people have disagreed.
there is a cohesive story line and technically it is superior. when i watched the first one again you really notice that they've improved a lot with capturing the action and editing.
the action in the second movie is far far better. the level has risen dramatically in the last few years. the first one seems pretty dated to me already...
soundtrack is good but no where near the first one - that was an epic soundtrack!
Saw it in Hood river a few weeks ago and it's a sick movie. Not what I was expecting much more movie like than a lot of the previous films, a bit more of a storyline for when your trying to force non windsurfers to watch it. It's definitely a must see with sick action as usual. Even dad who doesn't really windsurf much and has never been a big fan of sitting through windsurfing movies and he was buzzing after watching it.
sboardcrazy, that was the first movie that was on One HD
they changed most of the commercial music and cut out the part about josh angulo being haighdee haigh
As much as i like the stones / kim wild etc, it was nice to see it on telly with alternative music. kind of suited the movie better and kept it fun i.m.o
I ordered mine directly from Poorboyz months ago but for those that haven't ordered one yet, the movie will be in all good windsurfing shops by around sept 25 they reckon.

Went to Sydney to see it, I thought it was awesome. If your looking for something new your not going to find it, It's all wave sailing and it's all about Levi and his mates...that's not a bad thing but what I was looking for a bit more of a mixture like what four dimensions had to offer. It's still has everything you want in a windsurfing movie, Great soundtrack, Big stars, Bit of a tragic story and some moves that make you think....How the hell did he pull that off. I'll have to wait for my DVD to turn up to make my final judgement but seeing it on the big screen was just amazing, The action was in you face and the soundtrack got the adrenalin racing....Only you can give the final verdict.
I don't think you'll be disappointed.
Cheers Jase.
I thought it was amazing, some really good action, loved the Levi Maui intro, wasnt sure about some of his acting dramatical bits, but it all made sense! The piece on the Gorge and Keith Tebouls Marshall Islands trip were cool! KT is a legend!
If they had gone out and made a carbon (haha) copy of the first one it would be dull. I seriously cannot wait to get a copy!
I think 2nd Wind are the distributors for the movie, hopefully they'll have copies in the shop soon.
