Which part of the UK?

If you're happy to do a small flight, then all the med/red sea spots are close to their best in June/July.

June isn't an ideal time as the Winter lows have slowed and it may be too early for the big high pressures that allow for some seabreezes (not WA style, more like 12-15 knots). Two places that seem to pick up more wind than a lot of places are both on the Seven Estuary - Minehead and The Cold Knap. Minehead is North Devon and the Knap is by Barry/Cardiff - Wales. In a SW and an outgoing tide (I have posted here before that I used to sail in 10-12 knot tidal current!) and on a warm day the wind can "feel" like 25 knots!

If you had the time head to Tarifa/Greece/Canaries but idealy Morocco.

Hi there,
the best wave sailing spot in Uk is up in scotland. There is this small island (Tiree) off the west coast of scotland. The trip will take around 4/5 hours and ferries depart from a small town called Oban. If you have time and will to get some waves, I reckon this would be your best bet. But again waves and wind are things that are behond our control, so you might get nothing..

Good luck

Somewhere on the south coast migth be good for you.
West Whittering I think. Not far from Chichester.

If you can get as far as Wales (3 hrs down the m4) then you can't beat St David's, probably some of the nicest wave sailing you will find anywhere.

Dont forget your wettie....

Or even the Gower, about 20 miles west of Swansea at the end of the M4

Which is where I went to Uni! SW is a nice cross shore at Horton - and you get excellent waves.

Go to Tarifa, it is a 1 1/2 hour flight from London or for a closer option but not as good you could head to Brighton.

Small world! I've had some of my best (and coldest) sails there. It was the same time that Tris Boxford was in Swansea Uni, so there was someone to learn from!
