Hello, I am Going up to Glastone next week and was going out to Heron Island but the weather is not looking good for diving and its a hassle to take my windsurfing gear over.
So I was thinking of staying on the mainland and I was just wondering if there were places there to windsurf or anywhere nearby?

I've windsurfed there once, there were a couple of others there at the time so you might get a response here if you're lucky.

From memory some people go out at the river mouth, but others launch from the national park which is several k's north of the river mouth.

I think I saw a croc last time, scared me witless, so keep your eyes shut and you'll be fine!
