I'm a progressive 70kg sailor (70% of gybes, all non planing exits). I already have a 122l Kode and an 88 l Exocet wave. My quest is to eventually try and have minimal equipment so that I may have one board, boom, 2 masts and 3 sails in total to sail on whether it is 10 knots or 25.
I am toying with the idea that a Futura should suit me (I will not be wave sailing, but would like to go faster and handle the larger chops in comfort). Am I on the right track? Also, should I go for 93 liter or 101 liter?
I am 88kgs. I have a Futura 110lit. I've sailed it comfortably from 13kts to 22kts with a 7.6m and 6m sails. I guess with your lighter weight you could do the same with either the 93 or 101 litre board with sails sizes to suit your weight and wind speed. Which one you choose would depend what wind condition is more prevalent.
I am 84kg, my big board is 97L freewave since December and I could plane in 15-18 knots with 5.3 so I think you can go with a 92-95L freewave, maybe take a thruster board for waves and you can use it as a single fin in flat conditions.

How do you go uphauling it? After 15 years out of the game I'm more scare of light wind than strong, mainly coz I don't know if I could uphaul my 93ltr. Ive only waterstarted since returning, but am considering at 6.5 for around 15kts... just don't wanna get stuck, sinking up to my knees with no breeze.
10 - 25 is a big range. Depends if you can keep a board or do you have to selll both to achieve the buying a new one?

20+ yet another
3 to 4 sails and 3 boards
as a minimalist - i could do it with two(2)
what's wrong with current boards ??
I am 80kg and currently have only six sails, seven boards, seventeen fins, three booms, and three masts. i know it seems improbable, but I find that this just about covers me for 10-25kts.
At least im not the only one on the minimalist gear approach.
Tabou 3S. would be worth looking at. You just need to make the decision on whether you want to work a little bit harder on the 96 in the light stuff or due to you being a light weight you might find the 106 a bit big but not rediculous in big chop over 25kmts.

I have to be honest, I haven't tried uphauling my 97L yet. I picked it up fresh out of the oven on the morning when my trip to Sardinia started and only used it for 4 times. Before I had a 110L Fanatic skate, that was easy to uphaul. However, I think I could manage uphauling it, it feels quite floaty...

if your considering new - i'd check out the '14 starboard Atom100, over the Futura, big wind range, handles rough stuff, gybes beautifully and not slow. might not quite be big enough at 10knots but wouldnt be far off
