all in one footpads ????

have windsurf boards ever had a one piece foot pad that covers both front and back foot-straps??? Bit like a smaller version of what you see on the sup boards.


Could be good for better grip and less delamming in that spot between front and back when your slogging and gybing.

i think exocet brought a board like that out about 4 years ago, my grip always wears out between the straps

Yes it has been done by a number of manufacturers.

AHD seal 2010 model has 1 piece foot pad over all it's deck, you can remove the pads and put a leash on for surfing also...

starboard GO ,bic and tiga comes to mind http://www.bicsportwindsurf.com/ it wont stop delam just wont be as noticable , probabley Better of with out it and if you have delam you can deal with it

where does one buy replacement pads. I thought Flying objects but the website would suggest no go there

Exocet did it for a few years on the Cross.
We have one particular Cross that's afew years old & has the pad between the foot pads which is pretty smooth & screen printed.
It became a bit worn & slippery.

On Sunday I fixed it with the router
I routered grooves in it to line up with the original grooves in the foot pads (diamond pattern).
Looks OK & hopefully no more slipping off the back of the board
