first time ever i was on a 2/3mm shortie this time of the year and that i can remember of to keep the wind and water chill today..my sailmate had complained of friggin' cold only wearing a rash guard his ears were hurting, worst when we were done we had cups of coffee just to ward it off and had to hurry derigging and loading to get back home and have a hot shower..what's goin' ondamn la nina i guess good for the crops here in the tropics but too much of it doesn't help much, it was a quiet public resort for a saturday and the few were bunched up behind wind barriers..i didn't like the unjolly scene

Hay Johno, you sure you and your mate haven't been press ganged too South of Tasmania, or NZ Southern Island

Hey JP, the water down here has been great this Summer. About 19-20 degrees and springsuit weather. Makes a difference from Winter when the meltwater from the snow in the mountains is running into the bay, have to wear a full wetsuit then.

on the 2nd day sailing i brought along the shortie just in case but as soon as i felt the conditions i started wearing a thermo guard shirt on top of a rashguard! one i hit the water i wished i got back to using the shortie..if am a bit on the lanky side i think am bulky enough at 168lbs. for a 5'9er and accdg. to the weight chart am close to overweighti was asking my mate if he was feeling cold and he says his nuts were having the brunt of it and was glad the waist harness was keeping his kidneys from vibrating..i saw his blubber kinda thick thoughiceman i wish i didn't have to wear anything but shorts..i know oz in general is a bit frigid but how firiebob does it probably jockstraps has pepermint shnaps tucked away somewheremineral how we wish we could see that scenic not dull but colorfull part of the world..we're kinda saving up money for just even taiwan in the long future where in windfinder it never eases up always 20+day in day out and really cheap fares
