i was out in the water tryn to water start and the dolphins came and said hello do they have names and stuff and distinguishabe marks and how to i say hello to them how do i addres them

You nearly had it when you called out "Dolphie" but since this is only used when you are on very familiar terms with them, they probably thought you were a bit presumptuous and didn't reply.
Didn't you recognize flipper he had his own T.V. show and his acting was way better than anyone on home and away or neighbors.
