Try pack'n'send...I got a quote to bring a board, mast, boom & 3 sails (already parcelled up) from QLD to Vic and was quoted $1,500.00

I politely replied "thankyou for your time, but I'll get a taxi to pick it up and bring it down...it'll be cheaper...goodbye!"

Pack it yourself and pack it well, do not trust anyone else and make sure you get insurance.

I bought a board from someone in Sydney through this site a couple of years ago and it was shipped with TNT. The dude made practically no effort and put it in an old board bag with a busted zip with a couple of old towels and taped it up. Board arrived with a big crease across the bottom about a foot back from the nose and dings on the nose and rails where it had been jammed into a corner and amongst other stuff

I would put it in a strong cardboard box with bubble wrap inside. measure and weigh it, then ring a few companies like ipec/toll etc and get a quote.$$$???

Just sent a landyacht crate 200x500widex400 high from Perth to Bundaberg for $200 I made a small pallet of 70x35 pine and strapped it to that then GLADWRAPPED the lot. As soon as you lose sight of it they will shift it with a forklift. Ring around all of the frieght companies in your nearest Capital city with the weight AND exact volume of your frieght. they will base thier price on the volume in the case of a windsurfer.
I just tried the smartsend site and got a price of $417.62, but yes is was soooo easy,I will keep that site in mind

Hi there,

I have got some actual windsurfer cardboard boxes at my shop that are from boards that have been sent to us. If you would like one just call ahead on 0427 927 873 and we will put one aside for you, you will have to pick it up in Safety Bay.

On the freight if anybody has found a well priced company from Perth to over east, let me know because I have done a lot of ringing around without much luck. I have had no damage problems from either Star Freight or Sadliers, but not exactly cheap.

Try TIME Freight on 02 9604 5111. They may only service Sydney to Perth as I'm not sure if they go to QLD or VIC.
