isonic 105 from 06'

hey folks can anyone help me out i haven't ridden an isonic to date a dealer friend might let go a mint condition with 2fins for 200$us however dram..i don't care much if it's not wood i want durability..i weigh 80kls and will be using sails from 6-7.5 max, proficient enough in all pts of sail..sailing area from flat to swell to hard chop..the how is this board am all for slalom and straight line speed how does this compare to today's board in the same width and volumethe specs of this board is 63cm width and length 233cm sail range from 5.5 to 8.5..questions the main reason i got attracted to this board is the width since i don't want wide when it's choppy just doesn't feel comfy when powered up..cheers

JP i had a ISO 105 and used it for a whole season. i found it to be quickish and quite a nice boars to sail. i weigh 85kg and mainly used 6.4m and 7.7m race salis on it. I went from a 105hypersonic to the iso105. The iso 105 rides small IMHO and really needs 15knts to get going. i used pointers in 34-40range and weedys from 36-40cm's.My max speed was 36knts on it

The board is comfy to sail but really excells in smoothish water. Due to the bottom being flat under the front straps it become more demanding in choppy water states. i did compete a LOC on it though but had some good stacks.

By the sounds of it if you dont want to go too wide perhaps look at a *Board S-type of Futura they might suit what you want better as they are not so wide for their volume and will be faster for us non-pro sailors on open water choppy conditions.
