Steve
by the way the video is sick! What happened to the tabou?
steve i ripped the nose off the tabou when it hit the bottom. so i bought the mistral of a euro, but that was in pretty bad shape by the end so i left it for the local kids.. im back in aus now with no boards. gunna be workin down in vic where do u sail?
shakas are pretty much the coolest freestyle trick around, looks like you got them dialed. the one at 1:42 ![]()
hell yes very excited - heading there next year for 3 months... might not want to come back :)
barn - i met your old man at the lord howe windsurf trip. Say hey!
Would like to hear of any tips for going over there if you have any. also prob gonna take my own gear - did you have any issues?
Cheers - rad vid.
Any time after august will be windy. Take your own kit with lots of UJs and downhaul rope.. Spare boom if u use an alloy. And a waveboard for the wave days and when the freestyle snaps (u dont want to sit on the beach while they glue it back together). Take new sails if your goin for 3 months, I took 4.2 and 4.7.
For 3 months u would stay in a flat or a cheap pousada. Cheapest are about $6 a night, more expensive ones will cook u breakfast and have internet and clean ya room. U could book to stay in a nice pousada for the first week and they can arrange a transfer for you from Fortelaza which is 5 hours away. Most people come in from Lisbon as its the connecting flight from all Europe, so its easy to share a transfer if your on that flight. If not it could cost 400reals if your alone..
I took Euros and changed them at the airport. The is also an ATM in the next town for when u run out.
- cheers for watchin the video everyone
