So with a rather dodgy looking forecast for the race on Saturday. It would be great to see the organisers of the event put some more focus into the wave sailing spectacle. With swell and wind on the cards and rumours of a certified whizz kid in town I for one am pretty pumped to get up there and get amongst the action

Lets see a load of punters up there to have a crack and force the event into a double elimination over 2 days like it used to be. We don't want those flying toenails stealing anymore of our thunder. Its a windsurf event lets keep it that way.

Troppo can you bring your own BMX this year? Our combined weight might be a bit much for the 2014 version.

Double elimination would be awesome, would be the first in WA for a long time... forecast is there! lets make it happen! looks like the kites will be at back beach on friday, no reason not too continue the windsurf comp on that day! with a few big names coming, lets not look like amateurs with the organisation... If all us participants are keen it will be a walk in the park to make it possible!

I agree.

Fri is set aside for kite waves now which is a stupid decision. Fri needs to be a reserve day for wavesailing (in case of no wind) and also an over-run day in case all heats don't get completed on Thurs.

Thursday will be the best LOC wavesailing for many many years!

^^^ I've just seen him down there

Insanely good entry list for pro and elite, best for years. And the best conditions too, been a long time since we had wind and swell. Starts at in 2mins and it will be awesome

Big ups for local Green head hell man Glenn Alexander:)
Probably twice as old as Koster! He also scored higher for his wave riding. But Koster got him in the air.

What a way to find out you've won hey. Reading it online before the actual presentation.. way to go loc.

Light conditions most of the day with good waves. Hard to get jumps but those who did were rewarded. Big thanks to john k and the other guys and gals that "volunteered". To actaully make the wave event happen.

+1
Event would not have happened if not for John K.
Big effort, doing the draw etc, judging all day in a small boat.
All because he wanted others to have a great opportunity. Thank him next time you see him.
