i have a 430 mast and 48 mast extension is it alright to set it at 475 and have the mat base set at 45 almost fully extended
Should work, but I'm not a fan of going max extension on masts & booms...sails are designed for certain mast lengths. You can buy mast extensions, although I'd prob make my own with the amount of broken masts I have lying about!
yeah id say it would have an effect because your extension will have a different flex to a mast would.
